Each ALVSCE department, school, or county office must have an up to date first aid kit that is accessible. Well-stocked kits are available through Costco for less than $60. Make sure to review the kit once a year and replace expired contents.
Fieldwork and Experiment Station activities must have first-aid kits that are accessible to program participants. Please consider brief safety training at the start of all new programs to familiarize participants with what to do in an emergency and where first-aid kits are located. Provide appropriate signage if the kit is not readily visible.
First-aid training is available through many CPR trainings, or through the American Red Cross.
