Why Join the ALVSCE Staff Council?
What would you do as part of the Council?
Representation – Be a part of Division Shared Governance by representing staff on pertinent issues, such as participating in Division budget meetings and College Committees that need the staff voice to be heard
Awards – Be part of the governing body for awarding (formerly) Outstanding Staff and Appointed Professionals awards. Participate in selection process, as requested, for Administrator of the Year, and Research Staff Award (for example)
Policy Review and Participation – Participate and provide feedback on policies and procedures that impact University staff as requested by Division Leadership and/or initiated by the Council
Communications – Be a channel of communications for distribution of information for staff
Networking – Provide networking and professional development experiences for staff
Fun/Culture Activities – Host and organize fun, culture building events, such as the Halloween Potluck and Spring Ice Cream Social, for employee in the Division to connect with each other
Any non-faculty, those previously categorized as Appointed Professional, Classified Staff, or current University Staff, are eligible to join!*
