Professional Development
PLEASE NOTE: This website is no longer active. After the implementation of the UCAP (http:\\ucap.arizona.edu) project in January 2020, Classifed Staff were given the option to "opt-in" to the new University Staff employment category. All new hires will be hired as University Staff. The content on this website will exist only temporarily as a reference to prior CALS Staff Council activities, documents, and award winners. For more information, please contact ALVSCE Business Services at https://compass.arizona.edu/dbs.
Recognizing the importance of continued training and development for classified staff, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) encourages participation in work-related classes, seminars, and training sessions. In particular, classified staff are eligible, and encouraged to take advantage of the CALS Classified Staff Training Policy, which provides funding and/or reimbursement for approved professional development opportunities.
