What Are APs

Technical Definition of Appointed Professionals

APs are defined as all active employees with an Employee Classification (ABOR Code) of Administrator, Academic Professional, and Service Professional who do not have Tenure, Continuing, or Multi-Year status and who are not voting members of the University General Faculty Governance (refer to Faculty Affairs for more information: http://facultyaffairs.arizona.edu/faculty-voting). Employees may have multiple titles and therefore multiple ABOR classifications, but this is resolved by an order of precedence where Faculty precedes Appointed classification.
